Our Meetings

August 2025 : Our speakers were Joe Francaviglia (MD Dems Deputy Executive Director) and Diana Emerson (Emerge Executive Director). Joe talked about all the programs the party is executing to assure a blue wave in Maryland and how they plan to have no slot uncontested. Diana gave a summary of Emerge's programs and we decided to work with them and the Baltimore County Democratic Women to recruit candidates for Baltimore County. We launched the candidates` questionnaires group . Our recently formed Education Working Group started planning for their monitoring of the Board of Education and its candidates. As the club supports fair maps for Baltimore County we compared those proposed by the Redistricting Commission and those in bill 55-25. Our members were asked to testify at the Council meetings to request transparency and for maps that comply with the Voting Rights Act. We reviewed what's next in our opposition to the regime and the importance for cracking its pillars of support.
